HUST 60th Anniversary

A double master degree

The students earning the prescribed credits, successfully passing the examinations, presenting their internship project (oral and written), and passing the thesis defence according to defined modalities, are awarded a double degree both from HUST and ParisTech.

The Master programme, based on the EUREC master programme in Europe involving the European partners of ICARE (except La Sapienza Roma), is clearly designed to respond to the needs of these outstanding students by providing, in the first year, a general introduction to the clean and renewable energy sector, and, in the second year, an in-depth knowledge and expertise in specific technology areas to be selected by the students according to their preferences.

The Master programme is, in fact, divided into four semesters, and includes a final six-month training period in a private company or in a research organisation, where the students put into practice skills and knowledge previously acquired. This final semester is crucial to practically prepare the students to work in an industrial environment, and to be prepared to foster the growth of the Chinese clean and renewable energy industry.

The master programme includes courses in the following fields:

  • Solar energy
  • Wind energy
  • Biomass
  • Geothermal
  • Energy efficiency

The ICARE Master programme is a two-year post-graduate course, mainly dedicated to Chinese students, who have already obtained a degree in engineering or another relevant scientific discipline (e.g. physics, mathematics, science, management) with courses taught by European and Chinese professors, renowned experts in their field in English or in Chinese.
